Privacy notice

BeProductive (beproductive.be12media.com) is a free service run by Be12 Media, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India ("we"). This notice explains what personal data we process and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

What we collect

• Account: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or your Google account email and name if you sign in with Google).
• Your content: the links you save, their titles, thumbnails and captions (fetched from the public page), and the notes, actions, goals, habits and focus sessions you create.
• Connections you choose: if you connect YouTube, an encrypted access token with read-only permission to list your playlists and liked videos. Files you import (for example your Instagram export) are read in your browser; only the links inside are sent to us.
• Technical: IP address and browser type for security, rate-limiting and keeping you signed in (a single essential cookie). We use no advertising trackers.

Why we use it

Only to provide BeProductive to you: storing and organising your saves, reminders and the optional morning email, keeping your account secure, and improving the product. We rely on your consent, given when you sign up. We never sell your data or use your saves for advertising.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the service (our hosting provider Hostinger, email delivery, and Google when you choose Google sign-in or YouTube), or when required by Indian law.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account in Settings, your account and all your saves are erased immediately. Backups roll over within 30 days.

Your rights

You can access and download your data (Settings → Download my data), correct it, withdraw consent and erase it (Settings → Delete my account), and nominate another person to exercise your rights. You can also contact our grievance officer, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Passwords are hashed, connection tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM), all traffic uses HTTPS, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited.

Children

BeProductive is for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, use it only with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian.
